DM Sequence Kit — QC Checklist
Run this checklist after building the DM sequence. Every item is pass/fail. Fix failures before using.
1. URLs (Blocking)
- [ ] DM 1 delivery link matches the live delivery page URL
- [ ] URL is live and loads correctly (test it)
- [ ] URL matches what's in the DM sequence metadata header
2. DM 1 — Delivery
- [ ] Opens with thanks + delivery (link in first few lines)
- [ ] One sentence about what the page contains
- [ ] One tip about what to try first (specific section of the output)
- [ ] Favor ask at the end — requests a reply to confirm download
- [ ] Signs off with "— Kathryn"
- [ ] [Name] placeholder used
- [ ] No selling — no Intensive, no paid services
3. DM 2 — Check In
- [ ] Opens with a direct question about running the skill
- [ ] Shares Kathryn's own specific result (numbers, not adjectives)
- [ ] Includes time context (how many emails, how long it took)
- [ ] Ends with curiosity ask (not a dead-end question)
- [ ] Skip condition noted: "Skip if they already replied to DM 1"
- [ ] [Name] placeholder used
- [ ] No selling
4. DM 3 — Bridge
- [ ] Series framing: "first of X" + "each handles a different blind spot"
- [ ] Next skill teaser names the pain, not the feature
- [ ] Explains WHY the problem exists (the insight, not just the symptom)
- [ ] Timing noted (when the next skill drops)
- [ ] Permission ask: "Want me to send it to you directly?"
- [ ] No selling — no Intensive, no Practice Builders, no Advisory OS pitch
5. Timing & Conditions
- [ ] DM 1: "Within a few hours of comment"
- [ ] DM 2: "Day 3" with skip condition
- [ ] DM 3: "4 days after DM 2 (~Day 7)" or after reply
- [ ] Drop-sequence rule noted: if they reply, have a real conversation
6. Voice
- [ ] Person-to-person tone — not a fulfillment bot
- [ ] Short paragraphs (1-3 sentences per block)
- [ ] Uses locked terms: skill, run, install, practice
- [ ] No forbidden constructions (check 02-dm-sequence-terminology.md)
- [ ] No hype language
- [ ] Each DM ends with something that invites a reply
- [ ] Read-aloud test: sounds like a real person, not a sequence
7. HTML Format
- [ ] Metadata header present: trigger, delivery URL, sequence overview
- [ ] 3 DM cards with header, timing, and copy
- [ ] Notes section with mechanics and rules explained
- [ ] CSS matches golden example (Inter, Cormorant Garamond, gold accents)
- [ ] Container: 680px max-width
- [ ] Clean, readable layout
8. Cross-Asset Consistency
- [ ] Trigger word matches the handraiser post
- [ ] Delivery URL matches the delivery page
- [ ] Skill name is identical to other campaign assets
- [ ] Series position matches other assets (email, delivery page)
- [ ] Next skill teaser is consistent with DM 3 in other sequences (if applicable)
