studio/ — inspiration-driven visual explorations
Home for visual/design pieces we build FROM inspiration — the "items that come out of inspiration" — before they're assigned to a campaign.
The flow
- Source spark (the external inspiration — a pin, an ad, a layout) → captured in
business-aos/inspiration/. - The visual we build from it → lives HERE (builds live in the vault, not business-aos).
- Adopted into a campaign → move the piece into that campaign's folder.
- Becomes a reference standard → graduates to
../golden-examples/.
Why this folder exists
A produced visual exploration isn't a campaign asset (no campaign yet), isn't a ../swipe-file/ item (that's external reference material you collect), and isn't a ../golden-examples/ (those are locked standards to match). Nothing existing fit it — so this is the incubator.
What goes here
Treatment explorations and design directions not yet tied to a campaign. Each piece = screenshot-ready HTML + (in this README) a note on its source inspiration and what it's exploring. Copy is usually placeholder until the piece lands a home.
Pieces
editorial-oversized-letterform-poster.html— oversized-letterform editorial treatment: a giant Fraunces italic hero letter bleeding off-frame, with the title and a credit line nested into the letter's negative space. Source: Pinterest "Tales of Her" cursive-font poster (6/18 inspiration scan). Currently shown in a Practice Builders skin (teal/cream/gold, Fraunces + Montserrat). Copy is PLACEHOLDER. Status: exploration — not assigned to a campaign.
