Hidden Revenue Scan — Quick Start
You just got a free Claude skill. Here's how to use it.
What You Need
- A Claude Pro account (or higher) at claude.ai — Skills require a paid plan
- 3-5 pieces of recent correspondence from one client — emails, session transcripts, call notes. Raw source material, not summaries or briefs.
Setup (One Time)
Step 1: Enable Code Execution
Skills require Code execution to be enabled. If you've never turned this on:
- Click your name or initials in the bottom-left corner
- Click Settings
- Click Capabilities
- Toggle on Code execution and file creation
If this is already on, skip to Step 2.
Step 2: Upload the Skill
- In the left sidebar, click the Customize icon (briefcase icon)
- Click Skills
- Click the "+" button
- Select "Upload a skill"
- Upload the .md file you downloaded
- Toggle the skill on
That's it. The skill is installed.
Running the Skill
- Start a new conversation in Claude
- Type: "Run the Hidden Revenue Scan"
- Answer the 5 context questions it asks about the engagement
- Paste 3-5 pieces of recent correspondence from one client (emails, transcripts, call notes)
- Wait about 90 seconds
You'll get back a scan that shows every revenue signal hiding in that client relationship — scope creep you haven't noticed, needs you haven't addressed, upgrade language you've been reading past — plus ready-to-send emails for each opportunity it finds.
Tips
More emails = more signals. One email gives you a few signals. 3 or more gives you patterns — scope creep that's been building, needs mentioned across multiple conversations, upgrade language that's been escalating.
Answer the context questions honestly. The skill asks 5 questions about the engagement before scanning. Pricing, scope, tenure, what's changed. These questions give the scan the context that emails alone can't provide — so the signals it finds are accurate to your specific situation.
Run it monthly per client. New emails surface new signals. Run it on your top 5 clients over 2 weeks — one per day. That's 14 days to a complete revenue picture of your practice.
The upgrade scripts are ready to send. Don't treat them as templates. Each script references something specific from the correspondence. Read it, adjust if needed, send it. The win isn't a report — it's a sent email.
One client per scan. Don't mix emails from different clients. Start a new conversation for each client.
What to Paste
Any of these work:
- Emails the client sent you
- Emails you sent the client
- Session transcripts or call recordings (transcribed)
- Call notes or meeting notes
- Slack threads (copy and paste the text)
Use raw source material only — not summaries, briefs, or processed output. The skill needs the original language to detect signals accurately.
