Why this angle instead of Piper's set
Piper's 8 angles (bottleneck safety blanket, lawn-mower 80%, bad-fit vetting, label in the bottle, theme week, beautiful website backwards, build the skill, cost-cutting) are all interpretation angles — they tell the reader what her problem means. That's the shape that's getting zero engagement.
This sample uses a recognition angle instead: it names a thing she did on her calendar this week, puts a number on it, and only then lands the insight. Same source material, different entry point.

You blocked two hours on your calendar for the client work.
The work took two hours.

The time block only covered the middle part.

That's the math breaking your week — and it's why "I just need to be more disciplined with my calendar" never fixes it.
The fix isn't a longer time block. It's counting all three parts before you commit to the date.Word count: 84 (current set averages ~250). Number: yes — "two hours booked, three parts to the job."
