Question Set Builder — Quick Start
You just got a free Claude skill. Here's how to use it.
What You Need
- A Claude Pro account (or higher) — Skills require a paid plan
- One prospect call. A transcript if you have one. If you don't, the questions you remember asking will do.
Setup (One Time)
Step 1: Enable Code Execution
Skills require Code execution to be enabled. If you've never turned this on:
- Click your name or initials in the bottom-left corner
- Click Settings
- Click Capabilities
- Toggle on Code execution and file creation
If this is already on, skip to Step 2.
Step 2: Upload the Skill
- In the left sidebar, click the Customize icon (briefcase icon)
- Click Skills
- Click the "+" button
- Select "Upload a skill"
- Upload the file you downloaded
- Toggle the skill on
That's it. The skill is installed.
Running the Skill
- Start a new conversation in Claude
- Type: "Run the Question Set Builder"
- Paste your call transcript — or type out the questions you remember asking
- Answer the one or two setup questions
- Wait about 2 minutes
You get back your own question set, marked up: the ones you ask every time, the ones that got a dead answer with the replacement already written, every place you handed over the answer inside the question, your talk ratio for the first 15 minutes, and the set to run on your next call.
Tips
One call. Not five. The audit is looking for the questions you ask every single time, and one call surfaces them. Running two calls at once averages the pattern away.
Timestamps make the talk ratio exact. If your transcript has timestamps, the first-15-minute number is measured. Without them the skill estimates from turn share and tells you which one it used. Either way you get a number.
No recording is a real path, not a downgrade. Type the questions you remember. The ones you remember are the ones you always ask — which is exactly the set worth auditing.
Don't clean up the transcript first. Filler, crosstalk, half-finished sentences — leave them. A question you abandoned halfway is a finding.
Run it again after the next call. The number to watch is how many questions came back dead. It should drop.
What to Paste
Any of these work:
- A transcript from Otter, Fathom, Fireflies, Zoom, Granola, or any note-taker
- A raw copy-paste with no speaker labels
- Your own typed list of the questions you remember asking
- A rough set of notes with the questions written out
One call is enough. You don't need a library.
