Storyboard — Concept 1: Animated Mock-Demo (Batch 003)

Product: 52 Claude Skills for Independent Consultants — $7 SLO Format: 10–15 sec motion graphic, MP4 / H.264, sound-off (all captions baked in) Deliver: Feed 1:1 (1080×1080) + Vertical 9:16 (1080×1920). 9:16 uses identical layout; widen the safe margins (keep all text/UI clear of the top ~250px and bottom ~320px Reels UI zones). Built by: Wren (key frames) → assembled in CapCut / Canva / After Effects Brand: Deep Teal #0f2d3e bg, Slate Teal #3e666e gradient, Cream #f1ede6 text, Gold #b79d64 accents only, Cream doc #f7f5f0 with Slate #334155 body. Fraunces (display) + Montserrat (body).

Why a recreated UI, not a real screen-rec: keeps the interface generic so we don't imply a specific Claude UI we don't control, and it's the closest we get to "show the magic" with zero Kathryn involvement. The finished-document reveal in Beat 3 is the payoff — let it land.

The 3-beat flow (+ end card) — 4 key frames

Each key frame below is a separate screenshot-ready HTML file at 1080×1080. Use the frame as the layout anchor; the motion notes describe how each element enters/animates between frames in the video tool.

Beat 1 — One file (0.0–3.0s)

Frame: b003-mockdemo-frame1.html On screen: A clean, neutral input panel (recreated, generic — not a branded Claude UI) centered on the Deep Teal field. A single skill file chip — new-client-onboarding.md — sits above it.

Motion:

• 0.0–0.4s: Deep Teal field holds. Input panel already present, calm.
• 0.4–1.4s: The file chip slides/drops down from above with a soft ease-out and a small settle (overshoot ~8px then settle). It lands docked at the top edge of the input panel.
• 1.0–1.6s: Caption "One file." fades up (Fraunces) bottom-third, gold accent rule draws in left-to-right beneath it (~0.4s wipe).
• Hold to 3.0s.
• Easing: ease-out on the drop; no bounce-heavy spring (calm authority, not playful).

Beat 2 — Upload it to Claude (3.0–7.0s)

Frame: b003-mockdemo-frame2.html On screen: Same panel, now in a "working" state — a thinking shimmer plus 3–4 generic streaming text lines building in, like an output is being composed. No real Claude chrome.

Motion:

• 3.0–3.4s: Caption swaps to "Upload it to Claude." (cross-fade the line; gold rule persists / redraws).
• 3.2–6.4s: Streaming lines type/reveal one at a time (left-to-right wipe per line, ~0.5s each), staggered. A subtle gold progress shimmer pulses (1.5s loop) to read as "working."
• The lines are intentionally generic gray bars + a couple of legible words — enough to read "it's composing a document," not enough to imply a specific UI.
• Hold the working state to 7.0s. Keep it to 1–2s of "real" motion so it stays crisp, not laggy.

Beat 3 — Get this back in minutes, not hours (7.0–13.0s) — THE PAYOFF

Frame: b003-mockdemo-frame3.html On screen: The finished SOP document resolves — the same New Client Onboarding SOP used in the static (Concept 2), styled as a clean cream document with gold top rule. This is the reveal; give it room and time.

Motion:

• 7.0–7.8s: The working panel resolves INTO the document — recommended: working panel scales/cross-dissolves into the cream doc as the doc rises ~40px and fades in (ease-out, ~0.8s). Soft drop-shadow grows as it "lands."
• 7.8–8.6s: Document content reveals top-down — title first, then purpose, then steps cascade in (each step fades+rises, 0.12s stagger). Gold top rule wipes in left-to-right.
• 8.6–9.2s: Caption "Get this back in minutes, not hours." fades up.
• 9.2–13.0s: HOLD on the finished document. This is the satisfying beat — let the viewer actually read it. Optional: a very slow 1–2% scale-in (Ken Burns) for life, no faster.

End card (13.0–15.0s)

Frame: b003-mockdemo-frame4.html On screen: Deep Teal field. Product name in Fraunces, $7 as the gold focal number, soft gold CTA cue "Get the skills →". Calm, no logo (native).

Motion:

• 13.0–13.4s: Cross-fade from the held document to the Deep Teal end card.
• 13.4–14.2s: Product name fades up; $7 scales in slightly (from 0.96 → 1.0, ease-out) as the focal point; gold rule draws beneath.
• 14.2–14.8s: CTA cue "Get the skills →" fades up; the arrow nudges right ~6px on a gentle 1s loop (directional cue, sound-off friendly).
• Hold to 15.0s.

Loop-friendly option (if easy): match the end-card Deep Teal to Beat 1's field so a hard cut back to Beat 1 reads as a clean loop.

Motion direction — global notes

• Pace: unhurried and confident. Eases, not bounces. This is "calm authority," not a hype reel.
• Type animation: fade-up + slight rise (16–40px) is the house move. Avoid letter-by-letter typewriter except inside the Beat 2 "working" lines.
• Gold rule: the recurring left-to-right wipe under each caption is the through-line that ties the beats together. Keep it consistent (~0.4s, ease-out).
• Sound-off: every message is in baked text. No reliance on VO or music to carry meaning. If music is added, it's atmosphere only.
• Captions safe zone (9:16): keep all captions and the doc clear of the top ~250px and bottom ~320px so Reels/Stories UI never covers them.
• Frame rate / export: 30fps, MP4 H.264, square 1080×1080 and vertical 1080×1920.

What this package still needs from a video tool (limitations)

• These are static key frames — the motion (drops, streaming, reveals, cross-dissolves, arrow nudge) is described, not rendered. Final assembly happens in CapCut / Canva / After Effects.
• The Beat 2 "working" streaming animation must be animated in the tool (the frame shows the mid-working state).
• The Beat 2→3 "resolve into document" transition is the one moment to get right; cross-dissolve + rise is the safe, on-brand choice.
• Export both ratios; re-check text inside 9:16 safe zones after assembly.
