CIB Campaign — Working Folder & Change Tracking

Created: 2026-06-11 (Cade) What this is: The canonical home for the Client Intelligence Brief (CIB) lead-magnet funnel — page versions, the change log, and the thinking behind every change. If we touch the CIB funnel, the decision gets recorded here.

Why this folder exists: CIB assets were scattered — the skill delivery pages live in practice-command-center/, the thank-you page + checkout + nurture copy live in claude-skills-for-consultants-lto/, and the change history was spread across several drafts (most of them stale). This folder consolidates CIB-funnel decisions in one place so nobody has to reconstruct "what's live and why" from a pile of superseded files again.

Hygiene rule for this folder: Archive, don't delete. Superseded versions move to archive/, dated. A good idea at the wrong time is still a good idea later.

Funnel decisions + the why behind every change: the Change Log below is the record — that's where the decisions live.

The CIB funnel — live state (sourced from the systems, 2026-06-11)

Meta CIB ad ("AI Power User")
→ CIB opt-in (free lead magnet — the Client Intelligence Brief skill)
→ THIS thank-you page ← introduces the 52 Claude Skills
      → ThriveCart checkout: $7 FE + $12 bump + $29 OTO1 + $97 OTO2 ($145 max)
    → Non-buyer nurture (MailerLite)

Confirmed live (not from repo docs — from the actual systems):

Diagnosis — why CIB → 52-skills conversion is weak (2026-06-11)

Pulled the live MailerLite stats and read the live page. The finding reframed the problem:

It is NOT deliverability and NOT attention. The CIB nurture opens at 42–52% (group aggregate: 1,157 sent, 51.6% open, ~100% delivery, 0% spam). Healthy, engaged list.

The leak is the click. Per-email click rate runs 1.75–2.85%, and the click-to-open rate fades across the sequence (6.8% → 5.4% → 3.85%). People open, read, and don't click to the offer.

Same failure mode on the thank-you page. People land, but the click to checkout isn't earned. So it's one problem in two places: the "free CIB → buy the 52" pivot doesn't earn the click — in the inbox or on the page. Traffic and opens are fine; the persuasion at the click-to-buy moment is the weak link.

This folder's work starts with the page (highest-intent surface). The email-side fix is the same problem and comes next.

Change Log

2026-06-11 — Thank-you page revision v1 — cib-thank-you-page-2026-06-11.html

Status: ✅ LIVE — deployed to Convertri 2026-06-11. Pixel (PageView + Lead) firing verified on the live page. This dated file is now the live source of record for the CIB thank-you page; the previous claude-skills-for-consultants-lto/lto-thank-you-page.html is superseded (archive, don't delete). QC note: Shipped on Kathryn's go-live decision. Formal Copy QC / Sentence Editor pass was NOT run pre-deploy — fold into a v2 pass if/when we iterate. Baseline it revises: claude-skills-for-consultants-lto/lto-thank-you-page.html (current live). Design: unchanged — same brand system (Fraunces/Montserrat, #0f2d3e / #b79d64 / #f1ede6). No new CSS; all values carried from the live page. Pixel (PageView + Lead, id 1708795119368065) carried over verbatim.

What changed and why:

#ChangeWhy (the thinking)
1Confirmation section compressed (6rem hero → 2.5rem strip; dropped the prominent "check your inbox / check your spam" instruction)The original opened by completing the visitor's mission and pointing them off the page — "Your CIB is on its way, check your inbox." A big share tab away to grab the free file and never scroll to the offer. Highest-confidence leak. Now it confirms in one line and keeps attention on the page.
2Pivot reframed from past-proof to future-win ("You Just Got 1 Skill" / "you already tested the first skill" → "You Grabbed 1 Skill" / "The moment you run the Brief, you'll see how it works…")At this moment the visitor has not used the CIB — it's still sending to their inbox. The original leaned on proof that hasn't happened yet. Reframed to sell the win they're about to have.
3Removed false scarcity ("This price is available on this page. When you leave, it's gone." → "You're already here, and the Brief is already on its way. Add the other 52 for $7 while it's in front of you.")The claim is false — the same $7 is on the SLO cold-traffic page and the standalone /52-skills page. Manufactured scarcity also violates the brand's no-fake-urgency posture and erodes trust with savvy buyers. Replaced with a truthful nudge.
4Removed the account-level barrier (FAQ: "A paid Claude account" → "An AI assistant you can upload a file to")Two reasons. (a) It's not true — the skills don't require a paid account; a paid plan only gets better models / more context. The line invented a disqualifier that scared off free users. (b) Durability — Anthropic can change tiers/models/context at any time without notice, so any account-level claim is guaranteed to go stale. Removed the external dependency entirely.
Tab </code> updated ("…Check Your Inbox" → "You're In")</td><td style="text-align:left">Minor consistency with fix #1 — stop pointing at the inbox.</td></tr> </tbody></table> <p><strong>Deliberately NOT changed (this pass):</strong> category cards, "What You Get," guarantee, overall structure. At ~36 opt-ins/week there isn't enough traffic to A/B isolate single elements — this ships as one diagnosis-led revision, judged on aggregate conversion over a few weeks, not a clean single-variable test.</p> <h3>2026-06-11 — Decision: nurture email CTAs → <code>52aiskills.com</code></h3> <p><strong>Decision:</strong> Repoint all CIB nurture (Sequence A) CTA links from <code>thepracticebuilders.ai/52-skills</code> → <strong><code>52aiskills.com</code></strong> — the proven-converting SLO sales page. <strong>Why:</strong> Solve for conversion first. <code>52aiskills.com</code> already converts <em>cold</em> traffic; warm CIB-nurture leads sent there should convert at least as well. Also collapses a selling surface we were maintaining separately. <strong>Attribution — deliberately deferred:</strong> Not over-rotating on UTM / ThriveCart source-capture right now; conversion is the bigger problem. CIB-funnel leads stay identifiable via their MailerLite opt-in origin regardless of destination. <strong>Affects:</strong> A3, A4, A5 CTA links (the three offer emails). Change made in the MailerLite editor. <strong>Deferred refinement:</strong> <code>52aiskills.com</code> is written for <em>cold</em> traffic — it doesn't acknowledge the warm lead already has the CIB. Minor mismatch, not a blocker; revisit once conversion is moving.</p> <h3>2026-06-11 — Decision: keep the live thank-you page as-is; only the emails move to <code>52aiskills.com</code></h3> <p><strong>Decision (Kathryn):</strong> Leave the live CIB thank-you page (v1) unchanged — it's already a self-contained sales page that sells the 52 and goes straight to the ThriveCart cart. <strong>Only the nurture emails point to <code>52aiskills.com</code>.</strong> <strong>Why:</strong> The thank-you page is <em>already</em> a sales page. Routing it to <code>52aiskills.com</code> (also a sales page) would sell the same $7 product twice with an extra step — a double-sell. Emails are just links, so they need a sales page to point to; <code>52aiskills.com</code> (proven) is the right target. Keeping the page as-is keeps the hottest buyer one click from the cart and changes nothing on the working funnel. <strong>v2 (<code>cib-thank-you-page-2026-06-11-v2.html</code>) — REJECTED & removed:</strong> it repointed the page while keeping the full sales copy = the double-sell. Discarded (recoverable in git history if ever needed). <strong>Email destination</strong> is already baked into the reworked Sequence A draft. To swap the <em>current live</em> emails before that rework ships: 3-link edit (A3/A4/A5) in the MailerLite editor.</p> <h3>2026-06-11 — Nurture rework WIP routed to Notion (per the routing rule)</h3> <p>WIP that needs Kathryn's input lives in <strong>Notion</strong>, not as a repo <code>.md</code>. The reworked Sequence A (for redline) is a card on the <strong>KHB Operations</strong> board under Workstream <strong>CIB Funnel</strong>: ➡️ <strong>https://app.notion.com/p/37ca879ece9d81f89fe8c581413e235a</strong> (Owner: Sloane · Ball With: Kathryn · Ship Gate: Review-first). The repo <code>.md</code> is a stub until sign-off; the approved copy lands there as the finalized artifact, then goes into MailerLite. Destinations locked: <strong>A1 → <code>cib-delivery</code></strong> (free re-download), <strong>A3–A5 → <code>52aiskills.com</code></strong>.</p> <h3>2026-06-11 — CONVERSION SPEC written first (process fix); nurture copy to be re-written against it</h3> <p>Kathryn left 17 redline notes on the draft and flagged the real gap: she needed the <strong>conversion lens</strong>, and the rework produced copy <em>before</em> a conversion architecture — and was written for <strong>warm</strong> leads when CIB opt-ins are <strong>cold</strong> (freebie-grabbers off a paid ad; her words: "they're not what I would call warm"). Cade wrote a conversion spec — the architecture Sloane writes against. Core moves: <strong>activation-first</strong> (run the CIB before any pitch), <strong>branch on behavior</strong> (ran-it vs not), <strong>name + link the CIB every time</strong>, <strong>show-don't-tell PROOF</strong>, <strong>risk reversal</strong>, <strong>gentle (non-shaming) paid-plan nudge</strong>. ➡️ <strong>Conversion spec (Notion, CIB Funnel):</strong> https://app.notion.com/p/37ca879ece9d81859488f2523575014a Sequence: Kathryn approves the spec + provides 4 inputs (proof screenshot, buyer result, OK on a 60-sec activation video, guarantee wording) → Sloane writes A1–A5 against it with the redline notes applied. The earlier draft card is now superseded by this respec.</p> <hr> <h2>Open / next</h2> <ul> <li>[x] <strong>Pixel verified firing</strong> on the live Convertri page (PageView + Lead) — 2026-06-11.</li> <li>[x] <strong>Kathryn review</strong> — approved + shipped (2026-06-11).</li> <li>[x] <strong>Deployed to Convertri</strong> (2026-06-11); dated file promoted to live source of record.</li> <li>[ ] <strong>Confirm live = file:</strong> verify the page Kathryn pasted into Convertri matches <code>cib-thank-you-page-2026-06-11.html</code> exactly.
